Gajner is a wildlife sanctuary with Gajner lake and Palace in the Bikaner district of Rajasthan. The Gajner sanctuary is extended into an area of 19.20 sq.km. This wildlife sanctuary was built for the protection Cheetahs in Rajasthan state. Bikaner comes under the desert region and it has a Natural lake with Gajner Palace. This Gajner Palace was built by the king of Bikaner, Maharaja Gaj Singh in 1787 as a hunting ground for royal families.

The Sanctuary accords home to Chinkara, Black Deer, Nilgai (Blue Bull), Barah Singha, Black Buck, Cheetahs, Wild Boar, Desert Foxes, Antelope, Wildfowl, with so many water animals and +35 species of birds.

According to my personal experience, the best time to visit Gajner Sanctuary is October to February, during the Rainy & Winter season. Because in Bikaner summers are too hot. This place is the best place for nature lovers, photographers, and also for true explorers.
